T-series and Q-series Broadlighters

Superlum T- and Q-series Broadlighters
are broadband, very low coherence AC powered benchtop light sources based on
three (T-series) and four (Q-series) fiber coupled superluminescent diode
modules with slightly shifted central wavelengths, the emissions of which
are combined by appropriate broadband singlemode fiber couplers to achieve
the best combination of output power and spectrum width. The design of SLD module
controllers ensures excellent operation stability of the light sources.
The devices are developed for optical test and measurement applications including:
- Optical coherence tomography
- Characterization of optical components
- Optical fiber metrology
- Optical measurements
From July 2005, all T- and Q-series Broadlighters
are delivered with RS-232 remote control capability. Superlum offers companion
software to operate your T- or Q-Series Broadlighter remotely from your PC/laptop.
Please see the downloads page for details.
The following T- and Q-series Broadlighters are commercially
available:
T840 :
A 100-nm light source at 840 nm with an output power of 15 mW.
T870 :
A 180-nm light source at 870 nm with an output power of 8 mW.
Q870 :
Combines the spectra of four SLD modules. A 200-nm FWHM bandwidth with an
output power of 5 mW.
Q940 :
A mean wavelength of 940 nm. A 300-nm FWHM bandwidth with
an output power of 4 mW.
Q1350 :
A mean wavelength of 1370 nm. A 200-nm FWHM bandwidth with
an output power of 5 mW.
Q1430 :
A mean wavelength of 1430 nm. An FWHM bandwidth of up to 250 nm. An
output power of 5 mW.
